Stop Motion Geometry

Mrs. Mitchell's class used stop-motion animation to to demonstrate their understanding of translation, rotation and slide.  The students collaborated with partners to create their videos.  One student held the camera and the other moved the object in small increments to create movement when turned into a video.  The photographs were moving!

Hatchet Retold Using Paper Slides



Fourth graders in Mrs. Mitchell's class worked together to create a retelling of the novel Hatchet.  The student's worked in small groups and each group was assigned chapters. After creating a storyboard of the events, the students created the script, background slides and papers figures to go along with their chapters. The students then used the document camera to video their slides.  The class loved their final product!

Paper Slide Shows


Paper slide shows are an easy and fun way for students to demonstrate knowledge and integrate technology into a subject.  Second Graders at Canyon Creek used paper slide shows to retell stories,  explain the energy cycle and more.
